Felt Support Tray
The Eaves Guard, also known as a Felt Support Tray or Eaves Support Tray is 1.5m and part of our European Plastics range. It is arguably the most important felt parts of a roof, as they are what allows the rain water to run into the gutter. Crafted to offer a lasting remedy for eaves decay under the roof. The Felt Support Tray is a popular product and a reliable solution for a felt support system.
As roofing felt perishes over a period of time, it is at its most vulnerable at the eaves level, where it can sag and allow water to collect (ponding), causing the felt to rot, rupture and allow water to access the roofing void, which may cause damage to the rafter timbers and roof structures. Made of PVC, the felt support tray is the most cost-effective, robust and simple way to provide a complete felt support system that will not deteriorate, giving additional protection to the fascia detail of all roof types, suitable for use with a all slates and roof tiles.
Over Fascia Vents
Over Fascia Vents have a low profile design for minimum disruption to the eaves detail. Once installed, and almost undetectable, they still allow a continuous air gap, when fitted on the top edge of the fascia board. An integral grill prevents entry of large insects, birds or rodents into the roof.
Please be aware that many customers thing the mm is the size of the product, but the 10mm and 25mm refers to the airflow. See measurements below:
- 1000mm long, 21mm high, (10mm OFV) 10,000 mm2 air flow
- 1000mm long, 32mm high, (25mm OFV) 25,000 mm2 air flow
The 10mm Over Fascia vent is suitable for conventional cold roofs. The 25mm vent is suitable for warm roofs, flat roofs and roof pitches below 15deg.
Bird Comb
The Eaves Comb Filler, commonly known as a Bird Comb is designed for use with concrete or clay profiled tiles. The comb filler is a flexible grill which creates a barrier against birds and large insects, preventing them from entering the void between the underside of the profiled tiles and the underlay on pitched roofs. The flexible 1mt strips are quick, simple effective and easy to fit.
