Why do I need a dry verge system?

Dry verge systems are incredibly popular as they can be set up quickly and easily with no specialist tools required. With products and roofing accessories supplied from top brands such as Manthorpe, European Plastics and Klober,  you can trust the quality is exceptional and dependable. Our range includes continuous dry verge, universal dry verge, linear dry verge systems, as well as the end caps, connectors and starter kits to ensure you have everything you need to complete the job.  All dry verge systems come in a variety of colours, profiles and styles to match your specific project.

Weather Protection

Dry verge systems help protect the edges of your roof from adverse weather conditions, such as wind, rain and snow. They create a barrier that prevents water ingress, moisture, debris and pests from entering beneath the roof space.

Low Maintenance

Dry verge systems are dry fix and designed to require minimal maintenance. This means they do not deteriorate like traditional mortar, which can crack and degrade over time. This makes dry verge systems a cost-effective and hassle-free option for long-term roof protection.

Professional Finish

One of the main reasons for the popularity of our Dry Verge systems is how they improve the overall appearance of your roof. They provide a clean and finished look to the roof edges, which can enhance the curb appeal of your home or building. Dry verge systems come in a variety of styles and colors to suit all roofing projects.

What dry verge systems are available?

We offer a range of profiles of dry verge to suit almost every roof. This includes:

Continuous Dry Verge:

Continuous Dry Verge comes in lengths of 3m & 5m providing continuous, watertight coverage for your property. Many like this seamless finish. It comes in different 'types' which means it can suit a range of tiles & slates. Even thin leading edge tiles have a continuous dry verge solution, with the Type M being the only continuous profile on the market to suit thin leading edge tiles. To know which type you need, you can use the files below to support in choosing the correct profile for your project and which one is compatible for your roof.

Universal Dry Verge:

Universal Dry Verge comes in smaller units and as the name suggests, it is the most universal type of dry verge system- suiting majority of roof spaces (not TLE tiles). It is also universal in the sense that one unit fits both sides of the roof, contrary to the linear dry verge (with left and right hand units). This means, no more buying separate left and right hand units- so customers enjoy how Universal Dry Verge simplifies installation and saves money! This is probably why the universal dry verge system is one of our best selling products.

Thin Leading Edge Verge (TLE):

The thin leading edge verge are also units, but as the name suggests, specifically for Thin Leading Edge tiles. This system does have both left and right hand units, so bear this in mind when calculating your order and how many you will need on each side of the roof.

Slate Dry Verge:

The Slate dry verge is from Tapco and unlike the other systems, it only comes in black and in 2m lengths. It is constructed from high-quality PVC-u that prevents wind uplift and can be applied with interlocking tiles or natural and man-made double lap tiles.

All of the accessories to go with this verge would have to be Tapco in order to fit. This includes Tapco dry verge Jointing Clips (also known as connectors) and end caps. So you can have everything you need to complete your roofing project to a high quality and with a professional finish.

Linear Smart Verge:

The SmartVerge® Linear Dry Verge System provides a secure mechanical fixing solution for many types of roof coverings including Fibre Cement Slates, Natural Slates and Interlocking Plain Tiles. The Linear Verge Units can be easily fitted to the verge of the roof in succession, providing a neat and attractive finish.

We also have all of the Manthorpe Smartverge accessories needed to complete the job such as Smartverge Linear Eaves Ends, Smartverge Linear Fixing Clips and Smartverge Linear Verge Unions.
